Independence Day Parade

The Brazos Valley Marine Corps League participated in the Independence Day Parade in Chappell Hill, Texas on July 4, 2017.
| Members of Marine Corps League Detachment 1391 drove to Chappell Hill, which in south Washington County, to participate in the Independence Day parade. |  |
The parade began with the firing of an 18 lb. cannon. |  |
| The first entry was Patriot Guard motorcycle group, escorting the colors. |  |
The Brazos Valley Marine Corps League entry in the parade was two pickup trucks loaded with members and member families. |  |
| BVMCL entry was greeted with cheers from the crowd. |  |
Members enjoyed waving and throwing candy to the children in the crowd. |  |
| A number of entries came from other counties in the Brazos Valley, like this one from Hempstead. |  |
The parade also included a number of entries from other veterans groups, like this one from the Submarine Veterans. |  |
